Welcome Carver Families,

Summer is the time of year to think about … school???  Sorry for the update if you still need to get things done like vacation, back to school shopping, etc.  The start of the school year is right around the corner.

As your new PTA President, I would like to quickly introduce myself.  I have had children at Carver since 2000 – and my husband graduated from Carver previously.  I have been through the re-construction, and the announcements of the Distinguished School Award and the selection as a National Blue Ribbon School.

One of the fun parts of the job is introducing the theme for the year.  Happiness is … Carver!  This year’s theme sums up Carver - a safe, fun place to learn and explore.  The PTA is an integral part in making this possible and your involvement makes the PTA possible.  The PTA provides funding for the music program, the art program, our science lab and much more.  We raise money throughout the year by selling gift wrap and poinsettias in the fall, sponsoring a holiday boutique, conducting a Math-a-Thon, hosting a Parent Party and our traditional Carver Carnival in the spring. 

This year we will try to “do more with less” and continue to give our kids a great education.  Carver’s success is the result of all of us working together.  By our faculty, staff and our parents working together, we are able to make our fundraising dollars go farther. 

We are extraordinarily fortunate that our Carver families have so many talents and abilities – and the willingness to share their time to improve our school.  Please join us by filling out and returning the Volunteer Form in our First Day Packet.
