K.L. Carver Enrichment Fund (FAQ)
The Scrip program is administered by the K.L. Carver Enrichment Fund – a non-profit organization not affiliated with the PTA, whose sole purpose is to help raise funds for Carver. Your past support of Scrip and Electronic Scrip (eScrip) has allowed the Enrichment Fund to pay for Carver’s outdoor playground equipment and upgrades, drinking fountains, and teacher workroom equipment. This school year, all funds raised by the Carver Enrichment Fund will be used to fully support the Carver Computer Lab. The lab’s top priority is to keep our students at the cutting edge of technology. By supporting the Enrichment Fund, you will ensure that your child will be prepared for the 21st century.

| 1. BUY SCRIP/GIFT CARDS |

Buying SCRIP/gift cards to pay for your purchases is one of the easiest ways you can earn FREE money for Carver. The Carver Enrichment Fund purchases Scrip/Gift Cards at a discount and sells them to you at face value. The difference goes to Carver to be spent on items that enrich our children’s educational experience. The great thing is that using Scrip does not cost you a penny extra. Use it for the things you buy everyday: groceries, clothes, entertainment and more. They also make great gifts. There’s plenty to choose from - Jamba Juice, Vons, 99 Ranch Market, Starbucks, Cheesecake Factory, San Marino Toy and Book and more. Just stop by the scrip table once, and you will get hooked! |

Electronic Scrip (eScrip) is another easy way to help earn FREE money for Carver. By registering your grocery cards (VONS, Pavilions, HOWS, Valu-Mart & Super-A-Foods) and ATM/credit cards, each time you shop and scan your card at a participating merchant or restaurant, a percentage of your purchase will go to Carver. You’ll earn money for Carver without even thinking about it. Trust that your credit card information will always remain private and secure. |

| eScrip Dininig - If your family eats out often, why not help Carver at the same time? When you pay at a participating restaurant with a registered credit or debit card, eScrip Dining tracks the dinner and automatically awards Carver with 2.5% for every dollar you spend on your entire dining bill. There are thousands of participating restaurants including Celestino, The Boiling Pot, Maria’s Italian Kitchen, Thai Purple, The Kitchen Italian and more. Visit eScrip.com for a complete list. On-Line Mall – There’s good news for on-line shoppers. eScrip.com has links to all your favorite websites: Amazon, Ebay, Nordstroms.com and hundreds more. Before you shop, log into your eScrip account and click on “On-Line Mall”. Shop as you normally would. You’ll earn a percentage for Carver every time you shop on-line. Please note that you must first go through the eScrip website to make all your purchases count. |

Already registered with eScrip? Visit www.escrip.com and go to “My eScrip” to confirm that your credit cards and grocery cards are current. Remember, Vons/Pavilions Club cards need to be renewed on-line every year before November 1, 2010, otherwise Carver will not get credit for your purchases. Log into your eScrip account and click on “RENEW” today. Please continue to use your registered grocery cards and credit/ATM cards to support Carver. Don’t forget to enroll family and friends too. The more members we sign up, the more money for Carver! |

| 3. Sign Up Your Ralphs Community Card |

If you shop at Ralphs, you can help Carver earn money just by doing your regular grocery shopping. Now more than ever, we need all Carver families who shop at Ralphs to visit www.ralphs.com and register or renew their Ralphs Rewards card on or after September 1, 2010. Once enrolled, Carver will automatically start earning a rebate every time you shop for groceries and swipe your card. Please note that if you participated in the program last school year, you must re-register your Ralphs Rewards card again on or after Wednesday, September 1, 2010 to continue supporting our school. This applies to everyone, even if you signed up this summer. Remember to use Carver’s NPO# 83360 when you re-enroll. If you do not shop at Ralphs, but have relatives or friends (who live in California) who do, please send them this information and ask them to sign up using Carver’s NPO # 83360. The more participants enrolled in the program, the more money Carver will receive. |

| 4. Participate in the Fresh & Easy - Shop for Schools Program |

Shop at ANY Fresh & Easy between September 15th and December 31, 2010 and Carver will earn $1 from every $20 receipt turned in. One receipt with a total of $40 or more will give $2 back to our school. The more you buy, the more Carver receives. A $5,000 bonus will be given to the top collecting school in California, so start shopping on September 15th!! Ask relatives and friends to help too. Collection boxes will be available in the office and in the Kinder patio. SAVE THE DATE!! – Wednesday, September 15th from 4pm – 8pm
The class with the highest participation will win a yummy ice cream sundae party, compliments of Fresh & Easy. |

5. Enroll in Target’s Take Charge of Education Program - If you are a Target shopper (aren’t we all?) and have a Target REDcard, be sure to designate Carver School as the beneficiary. Target has generously donated over $5,000 since our school first enrolled. If you don’t have a REDcard and would like to enjoy the 10% bonus coupons that are sent out periodically from Target, visit the store and sign up. You’ll help Carver in the process.
